7th Heaven (Hardcover, 2008, Little, Brown and Company) No rating

A terrible fire in a wealthy suburban home leaves a married couple dead and Detective …

Excellent - nice change from the previous. still some gimmicks but much less, and many twists. The best of the series so far. Ho, and if you wonder why I keep on reading those when obviously I don't like them that much, it's just that the action is set in the SF bay area. So reading is an opportunity to remember what the place looks like and the fun time I had there :-)

The 5th Horseman (Women's Murder Club, #5) (2006, Headline) No rating

A young mother is recuperating in a San Francisco hospital when she is suddenly gasping …

Confirms what I was saying: pretty good criminal investigation, but structure is always the same. Not going to say anything not to spoil it but it's clearly a framework -always the same. It's not bad as such, but if you happen to read them all in sequence as I do, it is a bit tedious. Can't help thinking how ok, now is the time this happens. lets skim that and go back to the real stuff. Ho well. easy reading.

Récit de voyage

Excellent livre

Newly-orphaned Anne Beddingfeld is a nice English girl looking for a bit of adventure in …

Yet another nice mystery. As you may have noticed i'm (re)reading a whole batch of Agatha Christie at the moment. It is simply because they were written around 1920 and are surfacing in my usual channels since in many countries copyright expire after 100 years. Expect many more in a near future.

Dangereux

4 stars
