@eldang@outside.ofa.dog I have a collection of Smith stories, in german, that I read all of. There was good stuff in it. Seems this is set in the same world. (Are all of his under that pseudonym?) Of course I read Nostril-ia at first. ^^
Will you propose this for #sffBookClub? I'd be in favour.

@j12i@wyrms.de As far as I know, he only published under that consistent pseudonym. I haven't read any of his yet and I'm wary of suggesting white men whose work I don't already know, because the last few I did all turned out to have the same predictable frustrations, and the era this is from makes me wary. Do you remember if it was cringe-inducing about gender and/or race?

@eldang@outside.ofa.dog I don't really remember. I think race didn't come up at all. I might reread a few of those soon to refresh my memory.

@eldang@outside.ofa.dog re the pseudonym: I was just wondering because my instance bills the book as by "Linebarger, Paul Myron Anthony". But I see now, that's just his given name.

Cordwainer Smith sure is a ride.
