Not super convinced from the blurb, but it's Margaret Killjoy and I got it cheap with her other book so let's go

This one is quite different from it's predecessors. The anarchist demon hunters lie low and are telling each other stories of different kinds of magic. It even has some drawn images!
It's basically three prequels woven into a story. I wanted to know more about the other magicians from the first book anyways, especially Rebecca, so this was quite the right book for me. The stories and the discussion of "real" magic and magic magic (nor sure how to put it better) were quite nice.

This is a bit of a "default" Murderbot story, where some of the last books had a way more confusing storyline. (It's also a bit of a repetition (threatening murderbots' humans to get it to rescue other humans)). The outline of what's supposed to happen is known quite early and murderbot is doing murderbot things the murderbot way, as we all love it. The interactions with humans were exquisite, probably even better than in the last books. Often funny, pretty emotional this book, generally good. Murderbot hating that torus this book is set in becomes a running gag but isn't overdone.
Some characters I liked a lot were returning and played roles with different levels of satisfaction (RIP). Also some interesting new(ish) characters. I want to see more of Naya!

Murderbot has a new module doing emotional checks which had some moments but didn't do so much for me in general. Though it's been accompanied by some more of it's thoughts about it's mental health which I liked.

Just noticed this was the 100th book I finished and tracked on wyrms.de! 🎉
I still love this thing. I'm getting almost all my recommendations on bookwyrm. Running this instance feels pretty rewarding.
Keep on reading and talk about it 📚♥️

This was even better. The characters got developed further, new insights into the whole magic thing including witchfire and some more.
So fast paced it's almost stressful, but there's still time for contemplations and a little romance.

Pretty good read, liked the place and most of the characters and especially the whole story.
The timing felt a bit weird sometimes (some thing they planned they really had to rush where it feels like they should have more time) and one antagonist character was interesting but then too flat.
Liked the contemplations of the role of such a benevolent murder spirit in such a society.

Good read. There was a thing throughout the book that I didn't like on the world building but it became an important part of the story which was cool. Interesting protagonist with a very good description of how she perceived stuff. The different forms of communications were also good.
