I am 10 pages in and I already hate the main character (of this chapter? The whole book? Unsure). Hopefully they have a redemption arc.

@pelagikat There are many, many characters with a narrative perspective. Most of them are quite alienating though - and it's a loooong book! To be honest I'm not sure if I'm glad I finished it.

@ben_hr Let's see how I go. I persisted with the KSR Mars trilogy last year even though I wanted to throw it across the room at one point.
