Truly fantastic book, I enjoyed it thoroughly. One of the best pieces of sci-fi I've read in years. I spent many late nights on this story.
I bought it because I liked the series, and I'm SO glad I did!

The Lensmen series is a bit hit or miss for me. The early works are pretty decent, especially the fun capital ship combat. The later bits drag, sometimes painfully so. It's almost "Flash Gordon" levels of ridiculous in many parts.
Overall, I don't think the series has aged especially well, definitely not in today's climate. Some of it is downright embarrassingly bad.
I enjoyed it a lot more as a young kid, to be fair.

Just... wow. This will either end up in every civics book, or literally will have never existed.

The best guide there is to C++, and a worthwhile update to the version I had before.
Happy to have a copy digitally now, as it makes it easier to search for "that specific thing" when I'm using it.

Predictable but a bit amusing.
