Non-stop has a good premise has too many places where there are logical gaps. I have no way to describe this without spoilers, so I won't try - I just feel like greater depth of character development & more backstory could have elevated it from good to great.

Immediately off to buy the rest of the series. This is one of my personal favorite style of story, and Martha Wells does a brilliant job of it.

Sensible, rational sci-fi and a perspective that speaks to me. Top marks all around, and more please!

A well-written story, but a trash ending. As in, not bad, just a cheap storytelling gimmick that felt thrown together to meet a deadline.

The premise was excellent and had so much potential, but Bloom truly failed to make the most of it. Character development was excellent and made me care about everyone involved but that only made the ending more painful.

Much of the book is told by characters who don't know what is going on, but the result is unfortunately so disjointed and baffling that I wound up clueless to the end.

It shares this with Wool, but in the end Wool executed it better and I enjoyed that book more.

Hull Zero Three lost the thread enough times that by the end I was just glad it was over.

A solid follow-up to Earthcore, but like so many sequels before it, it is really tough to try to beat the original.

Earthcore set the bar really high, and while the new topics explored were a nice change of pace it didn't grip the way Earthcore did.

Regardless, it IS still worth your time.

I've been wanting to read Day of the Triffids for years. I should have done so sooner - it was fine, but I think I expected better.

Not up to the Preston standard, I'm afraid. Solid writing, just bored out of my mind with the story and the ending fell flat for me.
