Well, I thought the previous one was pretty crazy, but this one manages to top it up. In a way I like it because it gets funnier - the banter between the 2 agents is quite amusing.

This a very very short story. I don't really understand it is a book by itself, to me it could have been the first chapter of the next book or the last of the previous. anyway. If you don't read it, you're not missing much.

Tempted to say that is is more like a "classic" whodunnit. Not so much into the great big story of Pendergast. Usual twists and turns garanteed - nice and easy reading.

More twists. I realize I'm kind of repeating myself, but i's difficult to say something without spoiling. The style has evolced a lot since the beginning. Gone is the verbous and pompous prose, for an action-packed writing instead. Sometimes too action-packed maybe ? Some of the shortcuts are very elliptic, but hey :-)

Very short a nice (horror ?) story - quite aside from the regular Pendergast. Supposed to be chronologically 12.5 (!) in the Pendergast saga order. Very good and unexpected :-)

Still going strong. Very nice twists and turns and an unexpected ending. Recommended. It doesn't matter if you haven't read any of the previous.
