It really feels like the guy gets paid by Vanguard, although he claims that he doesn't. There is a lot of repetition in this book. Maybe some people need to hear the same thing multiple times to have it sink in, but I just found it annoying. I also think that by focusing on reducing spending he misses the point that paying for experiences that will give you good memories is also important. You can end up in assisted living with lots of money and no good memories of trips or attending concerts, etc. You might also die young. Focusing solely on some distant future isn't right.
