Even though I’ve had a copy of this book on my shelf for many years, I didn’t get around to reading it until now, when I listened to the audiobook instead. However, the couple of times I picked up my copy to check the text for something, I discovered that the audiobook is not exactly the same as the printed copy, as though it is a later draft; that the author made changes to the original before the audio was recorded. I wonder why this is so? Now I feel I’ll have to read the printed version to see how different they are. It is beautiful writing and a very original story.
