Listened to the Andy Serkis narrated audiobook and it was just completely perfect. I've read The Hobbit before and recently rewatched the movies. Neither of those experiences compares to listening to the master.

Very good book. Short. Almost short enough to be directly translated into a blockbuster movie. Worth the read though, and would be interesting to see any other future books along this story line.
