Good character development, nice world building, and a great twisty plot.

Dick has managed to craft two stories over two different time lines that are intertwined in multiple ways. The stories are distinctive and connected at the same time, quite a neat trick. A pity the computer stuff didn't age well, Dick was not very good at predicting how personal computers would go over an 18 year period - but then again not many were able to do that.

Great spinning yarn across three countries including down under and the land of the long white cloud. The plot untangles nicely and the characters are fleshed out nicely. Good wrap of up the threads in the end.
