Earthworm Gods (Paperback, 2012, Eraserhead Press) 1 star

One day, it starts raining-and never stops. Global super-storms decimate the planet, eradicating most of …

Quick impressions

1 star

Quick impressions: I felt this one may not be the author's best. Pacing and narrative were fairly slow, especially in the first act before the second story begins.

(Full review on my blog soon.)

Lady Mechanika, Volume 1 (2021, Image Comics) 5 stars

"The tabloids dubbed her "Lady Mechanika," the sole survivor of a mad scientist's horrific experiments …

Quick impressions

5 stars

The volume is the first in the series, and after reading this one I definitely want to keep on reading. This is a volume I highly recommend. It would make a great selection for libraries with graphic novel collections.

(Full review available on my blog.)

Giuliani (Hardcover, Simon and Schuster) 4 stars

Quick impressions of Giuliani biography

4 stars

Quick impressions: I liked it and found it interesting. I tend to agree that a lot of his flaws were always there; it was just his good moments provided a lot of cover for said flaws. The book is not a hagiography.

(I will have a full review with some reading notes on my blog soon.)

Tarot for Change (Hardcover, 2021, Penguin Life) 3 stars

Quick impressions.

3 stars

Quick impressions: Glad to have read it as it adds a new perspective to my Tarot practice. However, not an easy book to read as it can get bogged down a bit in the psychology in terms and acronyms. I like it, but I would consider it optional.

(A full review with reading notes will be available on my blog soon).

The Playbook (2022, Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group) 4 stars

My review of The Playbook (full review available on my blog soon)

4 stars

Quick impressions: From the table of contents, readers can readily see they key topics a corporate executive needs to know how to deal with pesky journalists, activists, and other assorted troublemakers that could put their corporate stock price at risk.
