A very well written story about the lengths a father will go through for his only daughter. The cabin in the woods sounds so peaceful.

What an extremely detailed and well-written account of a very sad time in American history. I very much agree with Mr. Sides, that Dr. Martin Luther King could have done far more to better the world if he was able to live out his natural life. As flawed as he was in his personal life (aren't all humans at least a little flawed), he had the vision of a better world without violence and hatred. We need more human beings like him!

Depressing and engaging at the same time. The book reads like a dystopian novel, except that it is non-fiction. I'm a an optimist and believer that the majority of the people in the world are good. How anyone can treat another living thing, let alone a human, like the Nazi's did, just baffles me. What baffles me more, is that there wasn't just a couple of Nazi's. Somehow there were enough people without empathy or compassion for other living beings to run all of these concentration camps. What is even scarier is that there are still people in the world to this day that are still spreading antisemitism and hate. It is very important that everyone remembers this history and ensures that it doesn't happen again!

Slow at times, but otherwise interesting and enjoyable. For most of the book you wonder what Marconi and Crippen have in common other than the time period.
Very thought-provoking and interesting read. Something I wish I could have read when I was a teenager or even college student and had no idea where I was going or what I was going to do with my life. Aligning your goals with your values seems to obvious. But, as she discusses, it can also be hard when conflicts arise.

A good, light, easy to read murder mystery.
First, I'm a professional software engineer. I was interested in this book because I've been interested in learning Rust, and what better way to learn than writing a video game! But I'm a little torn on this book. Overall, it did give me a project to work through while learning Rust. It was mostly well written. Where I felt it fell short was that it sometimes didn't go deep enough into the Rust language and there were a few errors in some of the writing that made it very confusing at times. I spent quite a bit of time on the Rust website reading their documentation. While I was able to work my way around the problems and get the games to work, someone with less experience may struggle more or even give up. I was also frustrated with the inconsistent code formatting. I'm kind-of a stickler for consistency in …

Alex's personality traits were very entertaining, especially when he would get frustrated with what the researchers were trying to teach him and he would go "off script"!
