I bought a collection of comics on a whim, based on the writer alone (Brian Michael Bendis), and the Powers series was one of the inclusions. I had no knowledge of it prior, having mainly known Bendis from his Ultimate Spider-Man/Miles Morales creation. But let me tell you it did not disappoint!

Without going into too much of it: people have (super) powers in this universe, but the story follows two non-powered detectives while they work on powers-related cases, the first being a murder of quite an iconic hero.

And the angular noir style art by Michael Avon Oeming is great! It really bring the universe to life.
