Precocious high school student Shinichi Kudo, who is also an excellent amateur detective, is poisoned and shrunk to the size of a six-year old boy. Despite his unusual transformation, he still uses his keen powers of observation and astute intuition to solve mysteries that have left law enforcement officials baffled.

Review of 'Meitantei Konan' on 'Goodreads'

The police case is cleared up, but the one-eyed police boss publicly mentions Konan twice and is switching to be closer to him, and Ai hides behind Konan… despite stating to not know him as Rum, this is suspicious.

Ran and Shinichi preschool episodes. Something for the double-X chromosome bearers among the readers, I suppose. Their not-romance is as bad as Heiji’s. Funnily enough, Konan seems to be the least arse to the girls, compared with Shinichi and Heiji…

And a new case begins… also out of romane and fangirling (and fanboying). Of course it turns into murder, otherwise we’d not read Meitantei Konan here. This does get a bit boring. Tantei Gakuen Q was better balanced.
