My 5 year old doesn't quite get the concept of a haiku, and asks "Is this a real story?". She can tell that it's not regular prose, but it doesn't rhyme either. I think the sentences are a bit brief for her liking. Still, it's a cute book and the illustrations made her laugh :-)
