Jim Brown reviewed At the Edge of the Woods by Kathryn Bromwich
a weird little book
A weird little book about a woman on the edge (of society, of sanity). It is a quick read and moves between impressionistic prose describing the woods and a narrative about an abusive relationship.
During the first couple of years of the pandemic, I got hooked on Two Dollar Radio books. A lot of them are like this - kind of narrative driven but just strange enough to do something interesting. I recommend them - they seem to be willing to take chances on authors and on strange books and stories.
