A Fascinating, Case-Focused Book
4 stars
This is a detailed, case-focused history of the US ticketing industry and how it became an ossified, monopolistic market. If you're younger than 30 you probably won't know a lot of the bands mentioned here (I'm officially old), but the random events that gave rise to current industry pricing standards will be fascinating to everyone. This book could have been great if it included any macro information on the industry, which is conspicuously absent. Still, this is a great history about a truly unique sector. Highly recommend
