Content warning I only really started to like Caela when she 'remembered' herself. William really hasn't changed a whole lot, so I'm still not really liking him... and Asterion is a brilliant a$$****!! The writer makes you loath both him.
I had grown to love the characters in book one, Hades' Daughter, and when I started this one, I really didn't like the new characters. It took a while to get used to them, but by the middle, I started to really like the main character.
This book swings between the 11th century and early 1900s. I feel like these will come together in the fourth and last book.
There were a few twists and turns that I didn't expect (though I'm not fantastic at predicting these things either. I'm especially terrible for movies). It finishes on another cliff hanger, so I think I'll have to start the third book today.
Four stars because I really enjoyed it, but I'm not sure I'd come back to read these again for a while.
