This story bears a strong resemblance to [b:Strega Nona|581409|Strega Nona|Tomie dePaola|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1348009308s/581409.jpg|1442720] but is fun nonetheless. The edition we read has two children named Lily and Ben who love chips and burgers, so maybe ours is the Australian version.

The kids loved the novelty of the finger puppet and insisted on borrowing it from the library. The story has a good lesson, and it was simple enough for my 6 year old daughter was able to read it to herself. I just found the text very uninspired.
