Stops and starts in my reading path; not the author's fault — I would occasionally get overwhelmed and go read something a little less heartbreaking and a little more fictional.
Ironically one of the books I read in the interim breaks was A Half Built Garden which is discussed in the final chapter!

Delightful first contact story; feels like it's set among the aftermath of the New York Communes. Complex, high-stakes plot nuances about baby wearing, gender complexity and expression, neurodiversity. Critical plot developments happen around Seder. Lots of love for every kind of neurodiverse nerd.
Octavia Butler makes an appearance in the Haggadah!
