Content warning Marked this as spoilers because itās a direct continuation from the first book, so anything I say here may as well be a spoiler.
Iām mixed on this for a number of reasons, but my main pain point is that the āantagonistā is a flamboyant gay man who violates Davidās boundaries and while there IS a big apology scene about it, it still left a bad taste in my mouth. This isnāt the first time that Andrews has used a feminine gay man archetype as a villain. Idk. I didnāt like that whole club scene at all.
āA Clean Breakā has a bad case of middle book syndrome, and Iāll be happy to get out of the city for the next and final one.
