5 stars

I think out of all the ATLA graphic novels I've read, this one felt the most like it could have been part of the original show. It had a really good balance of politics, action, and character growth. I think the slow maturation of the characters and their ideals is brilliantly handled, and even manages some emotional beats that had me crying in the club.

I'm not sure if I like this one quite as much as The Search, but it's still a solid 5 stars from me.
