Mole and Rat become lost in a snowstorm after leaving the river bank to visit Badger in the Wild Wood.
Such a joyful, picturesque little book.
Of its time, there are several offhanded sexist comments which I might omit if I were reading it to a child but it certainly doesn’t dominate the story.
Three stars for the story, but the illustrations in this edition are worth 5 stars, they are gorgeous!
