An Unmissable Corporate History
5 stars
This is a prime example of the best kind of corporate history - one that examines every facet of a business over the decades and the external forces it shapes and is shaped by. With extremely engaging prose, Elmore reviews the origin and growth of Coke to the global behemoth it is today, systematically working through its supply chain and stakeholders to provide a holistic view of its business practices and how it's business model (specifically the outsourcing of all but the very core of their business) came to be replicated across the economy. If you're at all interested in management or economic history, this is a must read. Highly recommend
