A Sprawling Chronology

This book is a nicely written chronology that spans the centuries from the first days of finance in the American colonies to the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis. Geisst covers much of this with an individual, case focused approach, and largely eschews analysis except to occasionally dig at finance critics. If you're looking for facts or cases to illustrate a phenomenon or if you're completely unfamiliar with US finance this book will be good to pick up
