An Interesting High Level Essay Collection
4 stars
This is a great high level collection of historical essays on the major, longest-running classes of work and some fantastic pieces on global labor history (I particularly liked the contribution by Marcel van der Linden, and the first piece by Andreas Eckert that grapples with the meaning of work itself is also excellent). The last section bleeds more into critical studies, however, so if you're not interested in that you can safely skip that part of the book. Highly recommend
