Pride and Prejudice is an entertaining yet profoundly insightful tale of society, love and marriage in England at the end of the 18th century. The arrival of eligible young men at the manor of Netherfield Park causes a stir in the village of Longbourn, and especially interests Mrs Bennet, who desperately wants to see her five daughters married. Good-natured Mr Bingley soon captures the attention of eldest daughter Jane, while his close friend, the haughty Mr Darcy, makes a less-than favourable first impression upon second-eldest, Elizabeth.
